Skyburial: Human Soundscapes

The music-centric multimedia installation, SKYBURIAL: HUMAN SOUNDSCAPES, will transform a 15,000 sq. ft. space into a multi-sensory and cinematographic environment. The exhibit will house twenty audiovisual musical portrait works projected throughout six  interconnected rooms, fully immersed in resonant surround sound synced with captivating visuals.

 

Composer/Video Artist Gary Gunn explores uncharted territory by sitting one on one with an eclectic mix of subjects in a pursuit to interpret their inner nature/essence into personalized soundscapes. These intimate, casual and candid encounters are filmed by Gunn, then later married with the corresponding soundtrack to create a single audiovisual work depicting each subject; spawning creations that are unparalleled in traditional portraiture.
